In the beginning, at a party, several people said, "Robert, you will have to start a blog so that we can follow you adventures..."
So, here we all are at the beginning of an adventure together. I will seem to be obsessed with what is next rather than what is passed away. We will all pass away but that can wait. One cannot drive well going forwards by gazing into the rear-vision mirror. You are permitted to display your own obsessions, should you have any, to do with the adventure, the journey we call life. All aboard!

Hi Dad, I have been enjoying your emails of your long journey from Portland to Painted Post (there has got to be a lot of potential for alliteration in this)... your prolific prose around your perambulation from Portland to Painted Post. Needs some work but not a bad start.
I have subscribed to your blog. Looking forward to more. Of course, to do this, I have had to create my own blog. I shall contemplate whether I will use it and how. Not sure I am ready to put myself out there on the online world.
I have been so busy/lax about really settling in (I mean unpacking and resorting contents of boxes) that I have not been attending to my blog!
On alliteration: thanks for the encouragement! Ah...adjusting alliteration alleviates angst; I agree that there are opportunities with all those 'p's. I am still looking for the painted post.
Philly: I have heard of the book and seen it on B&N shelves but have not read it as yet.
